Currently working on fixing a leaking steering box and have identified a failed seal washer as part of the sector shaft adjusting screw assembly as the culprit.
Now I’ve managed to order a replacement seal from my local dealership in Australia, although I’ve noted that the thread of the nut holding it in place (90170-10208) is quit worn and destroyed.
Searching for a replacement nut online hasn’t been very productive, and I’m now wondering whether I can simply re-tap this nut according to the thread of the adjusting screw (45357-60030).
Is there anyone who knows where I could find the correct thread size for this?
Thanks in advance!
