If those engines came with the 151 you could swap the bellhousing.

Well...the 1uzfe came in a couple cars from what I understand...Thanks...we'll wait to see what Tapage has to say..he seems pretty knoledgable when it comes to this conversion.

Sent you a PM. The bellhousing on the UZ has a different part number and from the parts diagram looks significantly different.

I have plenty of time as I plan to have all the parts by the end of summer next year...just in time for a Winter project
There is no 1UZ with manual tranny as far as I know in any Land Cruiser .. and the 2UZ that was only available with H151 ( as far as I know ) in few places around the world ..
Yes I believe you are correct...However from what I understand there is an adapter for the 1UZ to the H55F through CRS and Dellow in Auz.
The 1UZFE came in the Toyota Crown and Lexus LS400...as a few other cars. Great 256 HP, but only 260Ft Lb in the first gen...with ease that can be tweeked a little...so I would be happy with this conversion...I'm still waiting to hear back from either hot rod shops...
However I'd rather the 2UZ if I can make it work..

Not in my 80 .. it's a mate 80 ..
the tranny are mated by a custom ( local and not beauty ) flange .. that works.

Awe...I see..so if I find an adapter Lynchmob's trans may work...
Does the adapter you have push the trans back away from the Pilot...or does it still mesh ok?
P.S. good luck with the wires...been there...great fun.
yep .. it's pulling the tranny back 1/2 inch or so .. lots of fun with the wires !

been getting PMs about this so bringing it up to the top. It is still available.
If there was one thing I'd change about our NA 80s, I'd put a manual tranny option above a diesel. I'll be watching.
