If you're blowing fuses, you've got a shorted wire somewhere in the system. Find it and you'll fix your problem. It's probably in the bundles that were disturbed while repairing the fuseable link.

LED lights draw very little current and can't pull more than intended. That you've had them in for 3 years without issues shows that they aren't likely to be your problem.

I bet some person who is "electrically gifted" could make some of these to sell....if so inclined. It certainly worth having some type of "fuse" setup .
 
So I pulled my tail lights and gauge cluster. Put in a new fuse and it blows right away. I also bought a multimeter. But no idea how to use it to trouble shoot. Found my fsm and it's not much help. Since the fuse blows when it turn the lights on and everything is disconnected does that mean it may be te switch or a wire to the battery? This is driving me nuts! To pile on my heater quit blowing hot air. Still blows, but it's cold. When it rains it pours I guess.
