Just in case somebody out there wants to know where the fuel filter is on the FJ80 with a 1FZ-FE, its under the intake manifold. I searched the web for like 30 min. and couldn't find a thing. :wrench:

I see this is your first post. Welcome:flipoff2: to Mud! So when you searched the Web, the web directed you here on Mud, is that right? So do you have the 3FE or 1FZ-FE just to clear things out?

Yeah I search everywhere and saw this sight. I didn't find what I needed from this sight, but there were a lot of people on here so I joined. I believe my engine is the 1FZ-FE.

welcome to 'mud :flipoff2: official salute ;)

You've found the right place for information on your truck. There is a plethora of info and good people here.

Post up your year and pics (natives like cruiser porn).

There is an excellent FAQ at the top. Search and search again here, I doubt you will find a question un-answered here.

Does anyone know where I can find info about changing the filters and general maintenance on an FZJ80?

Thank you

You would be best served getting an FSM (Factory Service Manual) for your particular year of vehicle, from Toyota's website.

Otherwise, you could always look in the FAQ for...this. <-- That's a link.

Hi, Sorry to awaken this old thread, but I just installed a fuel filter into my 80 series (1fz-fe). Anyway when reattaching the input fuel line it pushed the bottum alignment tab, so I guess it is not completely alligned. However there is no leakage and the truck runs fine (seems too). I cannot help but wonder if this slight misalignment is going to restrict the fuel supply and hence placing the fuel pump under pressure?

I have tried to correct the alignment but it is too difficult to move it back. So I wonder if this slight miss alignment will be a problem?

From what you're describing it should be fine.

Thanks Baktasht,

BTW, I wonder, on a side note have you shipped any of your turbo kits to Australia? Can you PM so we can discuss this as an option?

Cheers
