^ consider most vehicles are assembled as modules, super easy to work on PHH, fuel filter etc, when engine/transmission is OUT of the vehicle :)

The 80 engine bay is a nightmare to work on versus my 1980 Patrol... Though I'd hate to work on a modern engine (the TDI V8 7x series is an enormous nightmare if you want to access things), in comparison the 80 engine bay has 'easy' access to stuff. Try to remove/replace the starter motor in a 100 series in 20 - 30 minutes...

Ha! I JUST helped a local with their 100 Series starter replacement. Holy hell!
