Let me inform you that I'm new in the Pig pen and have a problem installing a new (to me) fuel tank in my 68. In the pic's you can see the old tank has an oval filler neck and the new tank is round and too small for the old filler hose to connect. Does the later FJ55 have the round filler neck hose? Where would I be able to find one if that is the case? Thanks,Dave.

BTW this is what the tank is going into:bounce:

Yes, later 55s had round 2 inch necks...
THAT is an early 55! I heard somewhere that those particular marker lights were only on the first 1200 Pigs. So I'm guessing your frame number is less than 1200. Am I right?

Soo I do need to locate the later fuel filler hose? Is the hole where the hose passes through the body on the new neck round or oval?
The old tank is beyond repair and thats why I've run into this problem. Thanks.

I have the filler hose for that tank.I didnt think to give that to ya too

I've got a spare fuel filler for a Pig. It's off a '72 or '73...It's round (2") and 6" long.
The hole it goes through on the later Pigs is also round. Is yours oval?

looking at you pic, it appears the new tank is not as tall as your old tank???

You are right the old tank does look bigger in that pic but after measuring both tanks they are the same. About 6 3/8" tall.
