I noticed the front passenger-side shackle looks slanted. The driver's side appears to be fine, though. Is this common?

I had the similar problem, it ended up being a mis-machined shoulder on a pin. 1 pin was machined shorter than the other. It was replaced under warranty.
I have the same issue on the right rear shackle. Been driving like that for years. And on other rigs I’ve noticed 1 or 2 kinda’ angled. I’m quite sure when they riveted the originals to the chassis. They didn’t verify squareness, just assumed the chassis was correct.

I thought that was the issue, but i replaced the shackles and bushings just recently. Same issue.
I had a similar issue. Frame horn was bent.
Portapower, some light heat and hammer persuasion got it straight enough.
I think my 40 spent a fair amount of time being flat towed behind an RV and I think it got munched backing up from some other evidence.

Yes frame horn / shackle hanger crooked / damaged. Not just bushings, and as pointed out not uncommon, and people run around with out of square shackle hangers for a long time. Not that hard to fix but won’t know what it will take untill one digs in.
Had it happen fairly recently on my 40, just looked down and noticed. Long story short, I had used real rubber bushes in the frame to shackle hole only. A friend said it might improve the ride, bs. I’m running Skyjackers here and they get pooped on here on Mud, but I like them. Swapped it to poly and poof that was it. Good luck!
