I’ve been thinking the same for my 40. I put a single 80 radius arm on the rear of my SOA 40 as a sort of traction bar with a shackle at the body, and it works surprisingly well.

Love this idea. Can you mount them on the top side of the axle for more clearance?
I will try, just need to see where they land. I am going to try to collect the rest of my parts over the next few months and do some mock up before. And try to do the install in Feb. I will do that in my build thread for Lynchburg Lemonade in the 40 section. Unless you guys want to see it here too?? Not sure it is that hard core.Love this idea. Thats my thought. Not a lot of room to get a coil and shock in there. I have already ordered my bracket to mount the arms. I plan to play around with shock placement and figure what mounts to buy while everything is on sale this weekend. I am only aiming for a 10" 2.0 CO, not sure a 12" will fit.Coilovers may not be the best on that. I feel that factory radius arms don't flex enough that coilovers are really necessary, but it would be worth it for packaging maybe. 10" coilovers would probably be all you need.
Which bracket did you go with? Rampt?Thats my thought. Not a lot of room to get a coil and shock in there. I have already ordered my bracket to mount the arms. I am sure they make them in house. Guess they use a 70 series front axle.
Wow! I am late to this party... I have been doing the exact same thing this winter.. I already had a 60 axle in the front with the 60 steering box. In the end, I decided to copy the 80 suspension with 10" coilovers. I know this setup will not work for everyone. But, mine is a family rig. We don't do crazy buggie stuff anyway. I made my own radius arms because I didn't want them to hang so low like the 80.

Copy that. Yes, I did cycle it before final welding. And yes, you are correct. It starts to bind at the 5" mark. Which is the limit of my coilover. I agree, it would not work for a longer travel setup. Do you have a thread on the front suspension? Or a pic or 2 without tires on.
