I love it. This is the reason I brought home my parts 80. Unfortunately, it ran too well to disassemble…. So now I have an 80. But if it ever s***s the bed this is my plan with my 40. Nice work!More cross posting but shocks are on
I did, but it would limit up travel, as they are still under the frame rather than on the side.Looks great. Can’t wait to see some flex photos. Side note, did you consider mounting the arms on top of the axle?
Haha. I was cruising in 4th gear, not quite fast enough to shift to 5th. It has a simple TBI 350 that runs out pretty strong.Tha thing will do 50 ?, lol.
It is a 10" shock, so it should have a 12' lower and a 10" upper. The way the shock is, it just will not fit. It is just a bit short but still no go. On the truck now is a 250 and a 350. with 1" of preload I am actually about a 1/2" high. I am going to go to a 250 upper and a 300 lower. and try to soften it some and get the pre load and right height right. With the shorter shock, I am having to go a little heavier on the springs and will have the cross over lower too. I drove my 80 today and this may right a little betterLol, just teasing. Curious why not a taller upper spring on the CO ? & what spring rates are you using, I just did coilovers on the rear of my 40 with 14" shocks, 16" #220 lowers with a 14" #150 upper, just barely enough room with adjuster all the way up to get springs on then I went with 1.125" preload.
