You're right, very clean. My favorite for sure. Now a question. In looking at this it looks like there is an opportunity to gain sum much needed approach angle. Is possible to move the recovery points up and change the point at which the side plates angle up back a few inches? Looks like it may be possible to move it all the way back to where the wings start, although that may be just the camera angle.

There also may be room now, with the current design, to mount a couple lights, or a light bar, just in front of the winch and perhaps conceal them with another plate.

Don't you just love people not only critiquing you work, but wanting even more from you!

You could change that angle but you wouldn't gain much maybe an inch or so. Note how the fairlead opening lines up where the recovery points will be. They will be perfectly parallel by design.
There will be a small splash / skid plate that bolts to the winch mount. One could mount lights there. I would mount them to the bull / stinger. LED brackets or regular light tabs are available. I just ordered 500 of each!!!

I'm not very good at imagining designs so I'm anxious to see the completed product. Looking good so far!

Why you gotta splice the stinger tube rookie? :flipoff2:
I dont Obi wan I made the prototype stinger for the other bumper and it was to long for this one. :flipoff2:
Never an ata boy or way to go or even nice job.... your lucky I dont have any feelings

I called your mom and she said she was proud of you. Why so sensitive today? You know we all love what you've been building:)
Just giving you a hard time there Charlie... glad they didnt fire you... yet. Oh and Mom said she needs her girdle back when your done with it.

No top plate over the winch? Makes it super theft proof, but some prefer the open look...

You should roll into your wife's car at like 25mph and post the video for testimony on your product strength:D

I used mine on Tuesday @ work to winch two 8500# beam splices together. They were torch cut so there was a shrink camber I had to fight. Didn't work eventually as it began to pull my truck, even w the brakes smashed. Had to put it in a big hydraulic 'bull' to undo the twist from flame cutting...

I used it to install a snorkel on my junk today. Don't laugh, I tapped the distributor cap for a vacuum line and sealed it up w grey RCV. Fordyce at high flow rate river crossings are actually legit.

I was thinking I should put something there but I got the winch so tucked in that they would have to remove the winch plate too. You'll see how hard that would be once I post the detailed pics and instructions.

Your running a Super right? How many LBS? 17k pull is ridiculous... we use to have a old military winch truck we made as a yard truck to move beams and cribbing block back when we moved houses.

It was something like this

You put a dorkel on your rig? Whats the world coming to? I thought you were way to cool to put a dorkel on anything you owned.
That good thinking on the vac line to the distributor though. I just silly coned mine... another idea stolen from the crusty booger. :smokin:

I'm just 10k w a snatch block on that. The beams were 'warped' from the flame cutting and I had to fight that to splice them... Shoulda took pics so it would be worth sharing:(

The snorks legit and entirely sealed, I still need to address that alarm computer under the driver seat, but I cross an honest 4' of water in early summer here on fordyce. This pic is just getting in and stupid tall on 38.5sx's.
