Does anyone have one of these laying around? It is the little cable spring that goes between the two seat rails. I can't adjust the seat without it and the part went missing during my restoration. Failing that can I just make one? Anyone have dimensions? Anyone DIY it?

It's not a spring.

It's a piece of steel wire, with bends on the end that are kept closed with a keeper spring. I lost one of the keepers, so I used a washer instead.

The lever arm unlocks the driver side rail lock, and the wire disengages the passenger side rail lock. No advanced technology involved.

I think you dropped a zero. 0.030" is a common dimension for flux core MIG wire.
its also a common size for er70...flux core is brittle and cant be bent.

so i looked and i have the oe wire hanging on the wall and mig wire in place.....irrc the oe wire needs installed before the brackets are fastened to the seat frame, and i missed that and decided it wasn't worth the effort to disassemble just for a wire that would be used once, maybe twice a year at best...that was 8 years ago now....should it fail anytime soon, ill replace it with some 0.035 er308.
