I am converting to diesel and will be selling my drive train. It has 120k on it and runs perfectly. It's from a '96 80 series so it's the 4.5 litre, 1fz-fe. A few have allready expressed interest when I said I would sell it for $900 not including shiping/ handling (Mud family price.) Should include everything with the possibility that I might need to keep the air con pump.

The gear will be out at the end of october. I'd like to get a $200 deposit to hold it. Could use paypal to add security.

Cheers,Ryan

Please do a write up on your conversion, this is something I have strongly considered and would love to learn from your experience. Also can I ask what your budget is? I've heard #'s like $10-12k for typical conversions.

Biff,

Yeah, when things settle down I'll try to put together all the info for you guys. I opted for the 1hd-ft. I think that 10-$12 range sounds right. Mine will be closer to the 16-$17 range but there's a lot of variables that could bring that down, especially if you do all the work. Good luck, Ryan

Most of the wiring and gear does not work with the diesel. You would be welcome to anything I don't need. Transmission cooler etc. (I'm swapping for a 5-speed.)

thx dR.
