Thats not it yet Neil, we still got a couple big river crossings, more snow, bronco breaking good time. Just was sick today, then tommorow in the field, so might take me a while to get the rest out.:hillbilly:

Hurry up slacker!!

Looks like a good relaxing May long again.....HAHA

This year was good as we knew what to expect, but last year was a bit hectic and we vowed never to do it again. One bobcat later, and the fact we hadn't really wheeled since the fall and we were itching so bad to go back into the trail we couldn't wait till the next long weekend. now since I have a wedding to go to in July we will try to pull a long weekend out of June to go back in there, cause we can't wait till August long ;)

Hurry up slacker!!

Golfing today for work, drank a few or six beers, then ball, so a few more beers. will hopefully have time to put a few more on there before the weekend.:hillbilly:

so got into work a bit early after a morning swim, last work out till my triathlon on sunday so I could post a few more pics for you guys. So here they are, got past the half frozen swamp onto the big river crossing, was the highest we have ever seen the water, generally doesn't get into the ramp part of the crossing, but Adam was game to just start going.

The water climbed up onto the big broncos hood but he seemed to do ok, so I was ready to follow.

When I plunged in, had a bit of water lap up to my windshield at the beggining, and the current seemed to push me a bit down stream more than normal, but overall not a bad crossing.

After the crossing we got back into the snow drifts again and had to winch a bit, but wasn't too sketchy so we kept on plowing though.

And............

Then after some more slip sliding around in the drifts, we came across this. A huge are of the trail that contained standing spring melt waters.

I use the "New Posts" function that Mud has... It lists all new posts forum wide, not just by specific section.

Anyway, I remembered reading the first few pages of this thread months ago...then coming across it again tonight with your new updates.

Looks like you put in a lot of work out there, pretty impressive. Beautiful scenery, too.

And don't worry, I won't tell my friends in Nebraska about your secret Canadian trails. Haha!

Cheers!

Excellent work, take 5 while i get another beer..

Oh I'm not too worried, took us years to find this trail, and only hardcores that don't mind at least 20 minutes strait of branches scratching the paint will even attempt this if they find it, then once they get to the sketchy narrow on side of cliff section, half of those will turn around, the rest we will have a cold beer waiting for at camp. :hillbilly: And yes this has been weekends on weekends of trail clearing to make it tolerable, and we still got a bit of a work weekend planned so that making it to the lake will be possible without smashing the heck out of our trucks. :hillbilly: Don't worry it will be far from a wide open trail though, it will still mostly be a quad track. And Neil, won't be till after the weekend for more pics, and don't worry I will let you know when the story ends.:hillbilly:

I'll be waiting pal...Thanx Neil:beer:

Here are some more of the flooded section, adam did an awsome job avoiding the big holes that we knew existed but couldn't see because of the deep water, cause they would have swallowed our trucks for sure!

After the roughly km long flooded section, we got to the last creek before the second river crossing, which appeared to have quite a bit of snow on the other side where we needed to winch.
