I stumbled across the Japanese 1990-95 70 series wiring manuals today. :)

Currently the best comprehensive manual out there for the 1990+ 70 series trucks is RM183E, but it is for the European 70 series not Japanese. The manuals I found cover wiring for the RHD Japanese versions including the motors Europe never got (2LTE, 1KZTE).
This is a major find for those of us with the LJ78 and KZJ78!!

They are now hosted as follows:

First link is .zip format (each book is multiple pdfs). Second link is the multiple .pdf format.

Oh, also, as you might expect, they are written entirely in Japanese...haha! The schematics are still readable though.

Here are the cover pages for each manual:

Hello,

I would love a copy as well.

Does hosting involve a web page?

Once someone hosts them they will be available for download by anyone who is interested.

Hosting just means putting them somewhere on the web where anyone can download from. Just need a link that will start the download is all really. I think Beno uses Google Dropbox. That sort of thing.

Hello,

Thanks for the explanation. It was what I suspected but it was better to double check.

What size files are they? I have a mostly unused bunch of data on Dropbox, and would be more than willing to put them up as public files.

Size is written in the first post. PM me your email and I will send them to you.

PM sent. I will post them in the online manuals sticky.

Thanks Nick! And whoever is hosting!

I should give credit to where I found them. Gotta thank the Russians...lol. I was browsing Prado builds here: Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 70-series. Мнение реальных владельцев на DRIVE2.RU And came across a guy who had swapped his 2LTE out for a 1KZTE. I'm sort of interested in this swap so had google translate it and read about it. He was hosting these manuals on his personal website.

Lots of super cool LJ7x/KZJ7x builds on that website though. The Russians seem to love the Prados, and have done some of the coolest engine swaps and other mods (like portal axles) I've seen. Way ahead of us in Canada/USA anyhow....

Do any of your guys read Japanese? I'm trying to identify all the relays / switches and sensors that I have on the Passenger side inner fender. Some are obvious but others not so much

It's actually not that hard because most of it is in Katakana. Katakana literally sounds out into English words. What you do, is look up the characters in the table in wikipedia ( Katakana - Wikipedia ), and sound it out. Or, copy and paste each character from wikipedia into google translate ( google translate - بحث Google ), and it'll translate for you. There are other better Katakana tables on the interwebs too, just do an image search.

It's a bit slow, but it works pretty well. Do enough of it and you'll probably start to learn the Katakana characters/sounds.
