Is it supposed to sound like that?
Love these bumpers, he makes great stuff! I know Mike can add whatever kind of top tube you like to these bumpers.
I was thinking of having him add something along the lines of an ARB top tube to this bumper, and then an additional removable piece that would arch over the wheel well and tie into his existing sliders I already own.
Not sure what it would take to do this, but I'll start bugging him once I have enough money squirreled away.

This one is a custom from TommyGun Fabrication in Phoenix. It's a combination of a few different bumpers that had features I liked. Lights are 3" projectors.
This is my custom bumper 
which I had done by my local 4x4 steel works shop.
5mm steel
Powder coated (wish I listened to the shop and got flat black instead of glossy hahaha)
3x7.5" fog lights built-in the bumper (cheap Taiwan brand for easy replacement if they get hit by rocks)

I'm in my 2nd pair already. I don't know how the first pair cracked but the two lights both cracked at the same time. I think the lens got really heated up after a few hours use and got splashed a few times by cold water from the rains and puddles.

this is mine ..... It's an "Offroad Armoury" bumper with a 9.5TDS (goldfish) goodwinch. .. spots are some cheap Chinese 1800lm LED's
I just finished my tube bumper last week and it got a good workout at the ACC Fall Gathering at GMP over the weekend... I just need to figure out what to do with the A/C dryer...
Relocate it, JDM style. I think there are kits available for this.

Aluminum would keep the weight down very nicely. The naysayers may scream about a lack of strength, but in reality not too many of us fall 15 feet and land square on our bumpers. Should be plenty strong!

It's all heat treated 3/8s thick. Should hold up fine. Thanks for the kind words.

Mines not finished yet as I've been busy doing things that pay, but it's functional nonetheless.
