I like it this way. The 20 minute crap was annoying and I was missing out on a lot of good chit chat because I couldn't keep track.

Still getting used to the forum, but...

I really like the "new posts" feature for a quick overview of what is happening. The "mark forum as read" does not carry over to that listing. Can that be changed?
Thanks for a great forum.

Kevin R, on my way to a silver star.

PS. just to jump on the band wagon.......I would really like to be able to adjust forum colors as well, my laptop doesn't like the black. Thanks again.

hhhhmmm....

I just clicked "new posts"...I had 14 on the list...clicked one to read....clicked "new posts" again...that one was off the list....went back to the main forum page, hit the "mark forums read" button, then clicked "new posts" and got the following:

Sorry, there are no new threads to view.

You may search for threads updated during the previous 24 hours, here.

is that the result you get?

"working" on a secondary color scheme.....I had to make some adjustments to my laptop colors as well to get things to show correctly, turns out I had the screen set too dark and all my "dark grays" were showing as black...

the background is NOT black, but a very dark gray...and if you can't see THIS BLACK TEXT (<--highlight that) on your screen, then you have the screen settings incorrect.

Ok thanks, that means it is me 'cause every time I go to "new posts" I get 10 pages of posts every time.

I will try to clear history, cookies, cache and reboot again, but I just did that and only just got signed back into everything:doh:

And thanks for addressing the color concerns, I can read the black text just fine, it is more of an issue of changing my sight angle in relation to the screen. Contrast changes and gives me a headache:frown: yeah, yeah, I'm a crybaby.

Thanks,
Kevin R.

I like the new feature. I usually drop in for a minute if I'm watching a pparticular thread and it's nice to have the unread ones still marked that way so at night I can go through and clear them then.

Nice job!

I scan them as I go - I'd much rather only see a lot of them once, so I'd definitely prefer to know which ones I've seen without having to remember to go through a couple extra mouse clicks. I like automatic better - on my computer anyway...

in the top title bar?

good idea....not sure how that'll work tho, since there is one "mark all read" for the entire forum, and another "mark all read" for each section....may take some code work.....but I'll look into it....
