All or NONE, local to Charleston, SC

So after too much time and effort to collect everything I needed to convert my 62 to a manual, I ended up having my auto trans rebuild. I have every thing needed including axels and peddle bucket up for sale. I also have a 1985 engine available!
I can easily deliver in the Charleston area.

Are you using the 2F and Trans/TC that are currently at David's house?

That's the one that's for sale. You want to put it in the 45?
Should be a bolt in swap.

I'm having some trouble locating parts for the H... Ignition switches appear to be NLA. @beno is my last resort, but I need to do some troubleshooting to make sure it's what is wrong. I put the old starter back in and although it has power, it no longer "clicks" when I turn the key. Battery has been charged.

Edit: Apparently the 2F is not a simple bolt in swap... And apparently I will greatly anger the Cruiser Gods if I swap the original H, in running condition, for a gas engine. I can't be selfish here, I have 3 other cruisers to think about... At least the electrical system isn't all that complex; I mean, there isn't much that can go wrong! Now to think about a rewire...

The Summerville clan has been holding out on us :flipoff2:. A '91 LHD LJ73 import for sale on Main Street. Its a 5-speed manual with either the 13B or 1HD turbo, the engine plate was illegible. I think the KZ was later, but I don't know. Assuming the front tag is original, it came from Spain. It has 124K km (just under 80K I think) and no rust on the body. It was sitting in a puddle of water, so I wasn't inclined to get under it. Buyers Choice Auto

I've had my share of used car salesmen recently, so I'll let one of y'all get this one.

If it has a 2L-T/E engine, plan on a new head or an engine swap soon. :meh:
You know the 70s better then me, but I thought the 2L-T was on the earlier ones, mid to late 80s.

EDIT: I looked up the VIN on a European database, its a 2L-T. I thought the 2L was phased out for the 13B and 1HD by the '90s, but I'm clearly wrong. The color was originally dark blue according to the VIN. Beno, glad you're keeping us straight, come see us more often.

The 2L-T/E iteration engines ran concurrently with 3B/13B-T engines in 7x iterations. As did the 22R. Hence you get BJ7x, LJ7x, RJ7x. The LJ and RJ versions were medium/light duty versions meant for European and Japanese city markets (IE: Prado's) Coil spring front and rear, nice trucks "comfort-wise" but terrible engine in the 2L-T/E version.

No 7x trucks received a 1HD engine iterations till the late 1990's when they got the 1HD-FTE 24 valve fully electronically controlled turbo diesel.

Starting in 1990, B version and H version engines were discontinued for passenger use and replaced with 1HZ/1PZ in the 7x vehicles and 1HZ/1HD-T/1HD-FT versions in the 8x vehicles.

Hope that helps.

Cool looking little truck,though.
Thanks, Onur for that. Your Land cruiser knowledge is amazing.

Y'know, every time I go to Summerville, I find a 45, a 73, or something the Summerville clan is holding back.

@beno, you're a wealth of knowledge. How about coming to the picturesque and charming city of Charleston to host a Land Cruiser class? We'll make the Summerville folks sit in the back and not ask questions. Maybe a blog would be more practical.

Nice trailer!

If he gave you the S2 or S7 form (can't remember what it's called) that is given when purchased at government auction, then you can easily get a title. You'd have a much easier time selling if you had the title. Just sold my M101A3, so I feel your pain!

GLWS

Hey chose the free option of receiving nothing with the trailer... ughh
