Finally got ahold of the guy, special cat. And that is coming from me! has about 170k, no lockers, cloth seatsAxle/suspension /frame donor!
1994 Land cruiser
and the driver rear quarter panel is creamed. Missed the frame and rear axle, but the rear door doesn't open... Tags expired in 2007, cali plates. Story goes the head gasket went, had the head machined and replaced the gasket. When reassembling the head he 'got the shims all cornfused' and just threw them in. So it has a lifter tick, good oil pressure and a bad coolant line on the firewall. So it is full of water and the coolant looks like it Hey Guys I need 2 spare tires 315/75 R16 Nothing special just whatever I can get my hands on ASAP

Interior looks like a truck that has hauled hay, but the A/C works! I entertained him but he isn't budging as $1200 is as low as he will go, this vehicle is well worth it. Even has some brand new OE springs, shocks and assorted tun up parts, but 'they will be extra'. And his $300 winch on the CL he isn't selling for any less than $400. Plus he 'wont answer the phone if he can help it' and no texting. Special cat...
In my eyes its a 600-800 Cruiser and I think after a month if he decides it worth that(and his mother is tired of looking at it) it'll be my next new wheeler! Fingers crossed, but not holding my breath.
I didn't see it as it was 'in the shop across the street'. He didn't hide anything from me, but did mention that the engine was built and tested on a machine for Mercedes engines. Not sure what that meant... If you want I can try to go look at it and get some pictures at least for you. Might take a couple of days, he wasn't the quickest responder to messages.Did you happen to see the spare "new" engine he has for that truck? He's asking 1400 for the engine, but the only receipt he can seem to provide is from orient engine inc, in Falmouth KY and has little information about what was done other than the serial number and a cost of 2900ish, from 10 years ago. He just kept saying "its a complete new engine" but who knows what that actually means. He's a few hours away from me, so I'm trying to gather some info ahead of time.

I tried getting ahold of him earlier, waiting to hear back and I'll let you know the details. If you wouldn't mind, I might ask you to do just that. He also told me the Mercedes engine story, which I didn't understand the relevance of considering the lack of detail. His sister sent me a pic of the receipt tonight, I'm going to call the number on it tomorrow and see if the shop is still in business. Thanks for your help!
