Anyone local have a 3FE Toyota alternator. I bought one from Toyota parts online earlier this week and they just informed me that it's been discontinued.

Call Onur and tell him you want the 90A alt for the 3FE. I takes a little modding to mount, but is rebuildable.

One other thing. I had the 55 amp one in the 3fe bracket, I had to modify it to fit. Is the 80amp one not rebuildable? Other than the extra 10 amps is there a reason to go to the 90amp?

I don't know if the 3fe alternators are interchangeable from the 80 and the 62, My write up was for the 80 obviously.

The 90 is rebuildable, the 80 is not.

I didn't realize you had a 62. Mobile doesn't show sig lines. I don't know if it will work on a 62 or not.

It's a 60, but I wanted a 3f carbed. So I took a 3f block and put a 2f head on it. It was probably a mistake but, from what I had read the shorter stroke would be better for highway driving. It has the 62 power steering pump and alternator. I haven't done anything with the AC yet though.

He's right. There weren't many black ones. In fact I've never seen a black 3FE 80.
But, there were only 12,000 sold in the US that year! They're all "rare" in my opinion.
