Shat! Hal was thinking about moving to 16's and new tires when he needed them. For that price, I'd say it's worth doing now.

you do have 16" rims...
On your only vehicle worth keeping.

Durn it. Would have tried to buy those, without negotiating, two days ago. Sold my 97 this morning and don't need tires anymore. That was a half price deal.

I've got the same tires , (295), on my 100 and they are better than any others. Got 12,000 miles on them and don't show much wear at all.

Thanks for the notice and I own you one.

So... who bought that junk? Saw it on CL... wish I had long enough arms.

A couple from Mountain Brook bought it for their daughter to take to school and were going to fix it up real nice. I would estimate the spend to be $4,000-$5,000 to do it right.

Older Land Cruisers must be a status symbol at places of higher education. (+ drinking mass quantities of beer and going to the coast on Friday afternoon.)

I want someone to adopt me so I can work on and play with Land Cruisers for the rest of my life. Might even go back to school a few days a week if required.

find a sugar mamma. Only way to do it.
I've thought about buying these 80's rehabbing them and then selling as-is but better than they were... I find most folks buy these things and typically dump them because it has too many things wrong that they can't fix....

can you elaborate on what "fix it up real nice" entails?

sent from my PADD

New tires, shocks, head unit, carpet, seat covers, grill, bumper, paint job, new door lock actuators, bushings, ball joints, exhaust system, windshield, wood dash trim, steering stabilizer, engine rebuild if necessary and Lord only knows what else. Cost did not seem to be an issue.

I did recommend the "Fart Can Muffler". Thanks to BamaPaul for that.

I am applying for adoption right away and have dibs on being first.
