Club members- thoughts on the import cruisers vs us spec?

What could possibly go wrong
I see these imported south and central american cruisers all the time for sale- are they made in the Brazilian factory or are they imported from Japan?

The banderants(sp) are assembled there.
The problem with the south of the border imports, is that they used for their intended purpose and maintained with a questionable supply chain. Broken frames are the norm, along with shady repairs and quick paint jobs to pretty them up for quick sales to the unwashed masses.
Dumpster fires and train wrecks are nothing compared to a large percentage of these imports.

The overspray on the steering column missing bolt on the trans hump and rust coming thru on the floor pan crack tell me all i need to know
