Looks like a nice machine but sounds like a basket case that keeps changing hands? :meh:

Why does it sound like a basket case?

I doubt a basket case. The seller is known for nothing but awesome rigs.

I think it's just a bunch of guys bustin' his nuts. The AZ guys I've wheeled with here are brutal to each other.

That would be a cool rig if I wasn't that many dollars from matching it with my '99. With that I could at least get close enough to see Graham wheeling his buggy...

Re: the lx470 at Capital Scrap in Santa Fe

I'll have to figure out if I need anything from the interior.

The one piece I really wanted was gone - the rear hatch carpet. So I proceeded to take the steering wheel, column trim and the rear upper hatch.

The wheels are still at the scrap yard, they are just sitting up with all the rest of the rims.

Were they 18" or 16" rims?

anyone have birfs for an 80 laying around that aren't clicking like mine?

What do you need Birfs for? OH WAIT! That joke doesn't work anymore

Parts/Accesories for 2006 Tacoma Double Cab:

We sold our Tacoma and got a Tundra, now I have a few items left over that need a good home:

* Toyota rubber bed mat - fits the double cab short bed - I think it's about 5 1/2 feet long.

* Toyota Factory Manual - this year needs like five volumes (!). I think this is Volume #1 - I can check.

* Front bumper assembly (super white), including factory fog lights. I switched to an ARB Bull Bar, so this one is as good as new.

I wish you would have put the stock bumper on and sold me the ARB

That would have made sense!

The trade-in/upgrade to the Tundra happened rather quickly, so the Tacoma was gone before I knew it, but if I'd had a little more time for planning, it would have made sense to switch back to the stock bumper before selling the Tacoma.

The "other" John Stewart (Dave) bought Rudy's rig from me and likely would sell them. I don't have his info handy, but he does have a post or two in the super-bowl run thread. He lives near Jemez Springs.

How's the "new" rig?

thanks David, i'd actually be interested in the steering box if it survived, i'll ping him.

as for birfs, i found cdan and plunked moolah on new oem... so i am covered.

new rig is on the road, the left lane with no mileage penalty is nice. we are still getting reaquianted, and it did nothing for the list of things i wanted to do anyway... i need a couple good trips to have more 4lo experience. the highway is nice.

I have an extra gear box.

LX450 at Upull Row 4 Slot 4.

It looks like it had a wire fire. I grabbed the rear axle and the air cleaner. The front diff is missing, but everything else was there, and someone has already pulled out the birfs and left them. Steering box is also there. Thats about the only left of value.
