Hell, it'd get booted out of the FS section too, with no price on it. I mean, what are we supposed to do, say 'Ok Doug, I'll take it. Open check all right with your friend? She can just fill in the amount when she decides what it's worth to her.'

Heh. Called her tonight (not a friend, btw) and she is asking $16,000 or best offer - seems negotiable. I got a few PMs from folks here who are interested. It's just as Cary notes - just an exceptional LX with lockers in a desirable climate (dry, no salt) and well cared for that I thought the 80 bunch might want to know about. No affilliation, etc. Hope I don't get anybody's panties in a wad - ya bunch o' grumps (heh).

Moving on to the local weather, partly cloudy with periods of sun tomorrow and....

Ya know, I don't know how the mods feel about having to move stuff, but I agree that sometimes you post stuff like this where the fans are gonna see it, knowing it'll get moved eventually. I've never seen the mods upset about it, but maybe they PM their frustrations. Hope this one goes to a good home.

FJ60 - Giving it away. Who want's it.

It's served me well, I tried selling it - no body want's it. So I'm offering it to who ever want's to come and get it. I'd rather see it get used by a cruiser lover than rot in the junk yard. Lot's of good parts on it - I just don;t have a place to store it and would rather see it put to use. :cheers:

It runs ok and drives ok - 4x4 works fine - Exhaust leak at manifold - you'll probably want to tow or trailer home if not local. It is currently registered and has a clean title.

1981 FJ60
181,000 miles
Desmogged - no cat - no smog parts except smog pump
runs ok - burns and leaks a little oil (What you'd expect at 181,000 miles)
no A/C - compressor removed
Some Work done over the years - - (at least what I can rememember)
Manifold Gasket - last month
Front axles - all seals & wheel bearings replaced (6 months ago)
New heater (front) (1 year ago)
New Radiator (3 years ago)
Water pump (@ about 135,000)
New clutch/pressure plate etc - @ about 120,000

Damn that is pretty cool of you. If I wasnt here I would have been there. Someone can get some great parts off of that.
