FJ80 still looking for the pefect one (pics included)

I went out saturday looking for any cruisers that were for sale, found the most beautiful 1992 FJ80 red land cruiser. She only had 125k and was a one owner. The vehicle was perfect inside and out (almost like show room condition) asking $6900. I discussed offering $6000 but decided to come back on Monday and finalize the deal since one of the engine belts was worn (making alot of sound) I even offered to repalce it for them. Arrived Monday evening only to see the people who had bought the vehicle driving down the street I almost started to cry They paid the $6900 and drove away very fast...

Moral of the story; " please feel free to fill in this part"

I just picked up a 97 LX450 for just a hair more than that, lockers, but needing a few hail dents removed and a hood painted. Interior is in great shape - kind of a shame to take it wheeling. Or not.

Crappiest paint job I've ever seen. You can see the overspray on the frame of the not even close to factory color.

Ok, not the crappiest. The finish looks ok - better than the rustoleum job on my 40 that I did. The overspray bugged me.

There are nicer looking 80's with better drivetrains for similar $$. Keep looking - they are out there, but you'll need to be patient.

Yep, #2 just in front of the tire.

My way of making him feel better was that he missed buying a vehicle he may have regretted purchasing. There were some easy to spot areas of question, namely the paint job. There are better rigs out there.
