I can’t find any details on this, but does anyone know how to remove the fog light trim pieces? Held on by clips only or have to access a screw on the backside? Any help appreciated.

On my 2013 the fog surround is held in with tabs that protrude rearward. Once the bumper skin is off there were clear spots that you’d bend slightly and the whole assembly separates.
I’d bet the 16+ system is similar.. you may get a good look by removing the plastic splash shield extension and loosening the section of the wheel well liner that protrudes forward to the bottom of the bumper skin.
