I have a 1986 mini Toyota EFI. The body mounts are coming through the drivers side floor. Anything that will help slow this down. It just started on this truck and I think I have about 6-8 months until it is really bad. I really love my toy and want it for a few more years. All suggestions are welcomed. Thank you John.

If this is due to rust then I couldn't even contemplate what you could do other than a frame off restoration. Maybe you could weld some large patches over the body mount locations and then reinstall the mounts? Of course, this would just be a temporary solution as rust never sleeps.

You can loosen all the body mounts and then remove the mounts from one side by jacking up the body. That will give you some room to work, one side at a time. Caution, do not remove the mounts from the other side but just loosen them! Do only one side at a time.

Some pics would help our opinions but if the body mounts are coming through the floor then I'm not sure I want to see them.

I think you would have bigger issues with the floor attaching to the cab rockers than anything else.

I've seen issues in the past with body lift pucks (being 2" in diameter instead of 5" on chevy's), cracking, and coming through the floor, but every time I have seen any issues with a toyota, the truck is too far gone to be saved.
