Andrew, Can you give me an update on registration numbers. Are we keeping track of how many kids will be there? I also have a CD with hi-res Flat Nasty Pics for you.

I need to get a list of email addys for those who are wanting to volunteer at the event and who are already working on projects (PM me please)

Do we want to try to have a "Ladies Raffle" as well? Staying with the family theme I would like to see what y'all think.

Thanks,
Mike

They were supposed to send the CD to me, but we've been having some serious problems with our mail, I don't know if they ever sent it. I'll PM you my work address.

Sheila sent it but it was returned for some reason, so I had her send it to me knowing I would find a way to get to you.

Yeah, the USPS keeps forgetting I live where I do and they stop delivering my mail. Yet, for some reason we get the previous residents mail... I've filed 6 formal complaints (over the course of 6 months) with the USPS because of this and they still continue to screw it up. I don't understand what the problem is, just deliver it to the address stated, who cares if I really live there or not, that's the address on the letter... ugh.

I just signed up. Ethan (age 5) and I will be there. I am planning on driving down from North KC on Thursday morning.

Let us know if there is anything we can do to help out.

Ethan is still talking about Ashers and is ready to go... I think it was Holly and him that played at Ashers most of the day. We are looking forward to meeting everyone again.

Excellent!! Weren't sure if Holley was gonna make the trip or not this time, but I suspect she will since this is turning into our family vacation. I've got some cool kid's raffle items too....he'll have a ball.

Planning Meeting

We're planning to get together next weekend to discuss staffing for the event. Particulars are:

Guy & Mae's Tavern
Williamsburg, KS.
Saturday, August 26th (oops)
3:00 PM - 5:00 PM (Hoping to miss the dinner rush there)

The BBQ is excellent.

We'll discuss the schedule, volunteers for registration booth, trail leaders/gunners, etc.

Sat or Sun?

We'll be looking for assistance with the following:

  • Registration - great way to put faces with names (PM to "trainrech")
  • Tech Inspection - great way to see the various rigs & their modifications (PM to "Craig C")
  • Trail Leaders / Tail Gunners - great way to not follow me (PM to "66FJ40x2")
  • Saturday Evening BBQ (PM to "Poriomania")
  • (Let me know if I'm overlooking anything)
This won't be hard work, we just want to spread out the responsibilities so all can enjoy the event.

If you can't make the meeting at Guy & Mae's, and are interested in helping out, send a PM to the appropriate person above and we'll get you signed up. Thanks in advance.

Doh!

I don't think I'll be able to make it, which makes me a bit angry. My work is sending me to Chicago on the 28th and I'll be returning around 3-4PM on the 29th. I suppose I could still make it, but it seems like I'll be missing out on a lot.

I was originally going to spend Thursday night, Friday, and Sat down there, but now I don't know. Spending $80 on a day of wheeling seems a bit steep for me, that and the cost of gas/food etc.

This sucks :crybaby:  .

I didn't know there would be wheeling on Sunday, that makes things a bit better. The main problem is Kasey probably won't want to take only half a day off, I may have to wait till 5:00PM before I can leave, which puts me in Salem around 9:00PM or so.

Hopefully I can figure something out, it would suck to miss this.
