Chris and I are tying to edit the event guidebook now, should make this much easier and manageable with letters, etc..

Alright folks, there'll be a bunch more discussion about this event on Asher's weekend but I've updated the first post in the this here thread to show the event chairpersons.

I ain't seen the list of responsibilities from the book Erik and Chris have been writting and when I asked Chris about it he just giggled. Sort's reminded me of my nomination for VP "open, Mike, close" :D Anyway, this will be a bunch of fun

If you'd like to volunteer for a specific task you can see who you'll working with. As you can see we are in need of more folks to help out.

Anyone wanna help get all this info up on the web page, maybe with a PayPal page for on-line payments.

Gary - Are you and Elizabeth planning on making this trip? If so I'd sure like someone to gather more info on float trip providers in that area to out with the registration packets.

I don't giggle, I laugh like Atilla the Hun just before he beheads his enemy.

You are just ticked cause you drew the short straw.:D

Event Ad for July/Aug TT due may 15

Ad for TT due may 15,,,Todd tells me he has nothing, and has not saved space for the ad.
This is *bad.*
I got him to hold one page, which will make the ad the registration fomr, baiscally. We can then pay to run the full page the second time in Sept/Oct Trails.
We need to get this done pronto-like. Chris, I thought I had forwarded you the ad specs from Todd? You (or whomever is doing this) can reach Todd at
todd@larkbooks.com.

thanks, alan

We were trying to confirm pricing with Ron. I have tried again to call Ron with no response to calls or emails. There was also going to be discussion about this at Asher's this weekend as well.

I think the registration form is basically done but I have not seen any artwork to go with it and there's the whole fees thing for the park. I REALLY wish Ron would return my calls. The ad will be submitted on the 15th at any rate.

Mike, I just got off the phone with Ron's wife, yuou should get a call back "directly."

thanks mate;)
Just got off the phone with her...

the cabin is in our name for that weekend:bounce:

we'll need to add $5 for each passenger over 12 years old.

emails to chairpersons on the way shortly

Mike

Chef - I have the ad waiting to go, pending final confirmation on the costs for passengers from Ron. I'll finalize this tonight and send it around the e-mail chain - if y'all have comments let me know. Once finalized it'll take about 5 minutes to get it to Todd - the 15th is on my calendar as well.

We are hoping to attend, or maybe one old crow with Rob. We have an e-z up type tent, 10x10 and two folding tables. One would be good for display? not a good writing table. I will be gald to help with registration or whatever old folks can do. Mike is the question mrk so won't volunteer him for anything yet. What is the $5 passenger fee? Does that mean one of us is extra? Rob has already volunteered our generator.

The $5 is for passengers in the truck that aren't a "registered" driver.. Like Holly, she doesn't drive much from the carseat in the back of Mike's truck! it's a park fee not TAC thing..

Gary, For starters, WE need raffle prizes.. YOu know lots of Gearhead stuff since you run a shop! :) For starters your a definate on a few 12packs of mtn dew for raffle prizes!
And we need you there, possibly a day early if available to pre-run a trail or 2 and help set everything up!
That fine midas jacket you wear would make a great prize!
Really, we could just use you there to help setup and lead/gun the moderate trails.

I can check with:

NAPA, Carquest, AutoZone, O'Reilly, Advance Auto, Pepsi, Coke, Frito Lay, my candy supplier, Midas, Ampride, and I will keep thinking of others. I do not have connection with the 4x4 world, I fabricate everything on my own and do not buy much.

Planners and guys in charge of the budget:
I'd really like to be able to bring my band down for friday night.
We typically charge $100-$200 per man for out of town private gigs based on "ability to pay."
I'm obviously willing to not get paid, but I'd like to be able to throw the other 3 or 4 guys (band size can vary based on ability to pay too) at least some sort of bone...
What can we afford?
September is getting booked up now, I need to know this pretty well pronto-ish please.
