Hey Guys,

Received a text from Mark this morning. He is at the MED in Memphis. He has two broken femurs with one being pretty bad. I will let Mark give the details later.

He asks for your prayers. He is expected to have surgery sometime in then next 24 hours. He is in room D514.

Guys,

I talked to Randy, Mark's wife a few hours ago. He had surgery on the leg that had the worst damage tonight and will have surgery on the other leg monday. He is expected to be in the hospital for a week. Randy said he will be in a wheel chair for three months. I would assume he would then have some extensive physical therapy.

The way the accident happened is Mark was out exercising his two hunting dogs. They were running full speed and ran into Mark and he was unable to get out of their way. Randy says his spirit is upbeat and anybody who has met Mark would not be surprised by his response to this adversity. I am going to see him tomorrow and will update you all later.

I was hoping to get some good reading material for him since he is going to have a lot of down time. If anybody has anything they would not mind parting with for awhile I would love to pass it along to him. If you guys come up with some reading material, I can deliver it to him and you all could send it to me using my Fedex account. Anything land cruiser, overland exploration or hunting he would enjoy.

I don't know your friend and just happened upon this link, but I'd like to help him out.

Let me look around here. I think I've got a ton of hunting, probably some American Handgunner and a bunch of 4WD (ORM, 4WD, etc) and Diesel power/8 lug, etc., laying around that I'd be happy to send up to him.

I may even have some old TLC mags as well, I'll have to look.
