I am in the market for one of these units. I have a 200 series also. I need a vehicle to pull behind my bus. This vehicle will also be taken off road when we are in the middle of no where. FJC seems eaiser to park in the city.

I like the idea of the 100 series, more room for my 2 kids. I dislike the part prices, the extra 1800lbs. The v8 is nice

FJC love the weight, it’s so capable, lack of size.

I’m leaning toward the FJC since I could really go places I don’t want to take my 200 series and it only uses 40% of my towing capacity vs 60%.

Looking for feedback

Yeah I imagine so on the 4R...its the same as the FJC that Toyota supposedly says cannot be flat towed....though many do.

I see youre also in Ohio.....noticed this black 07 up for sale this morning in the Marketplace. Seems like its decently outfitted for some exploration:

I thought the 4th gen had electronic transfer case

I think you'll be putting camping stuff in the back and either on the roof or a trailer no matter which way you go

Yeah, I have a feeling a trailer would make life easier for over landing with my family.

I have both (lx470 is for sale, I’ll give you a good price:) ) and 2 kids… I chose to keep the FJ b/c while I love the space in the LX, the vinal floor in the fj and the ability to go anywhere is what made my decision. As long as the kids are booster seat or bigger then it’s not too much of an issue.
