Have you driven your 3FE-pump-driven 40 yet?

I have no doubt it will work great, just keep us posted. You have inspired me to do the same on my 55, because I don't want to remove the stock air cleaner, or mount a Sag pump.

Heh, I got it all pretty and mounted and then I decided to just put in the 3FE all together. I bled the lines and it worked great in the garage :hhmm:

Should have the 3FE all done in a month or so, if I can ever get back into the garage to wire it in and get the 5 speed installed. Got real busy all of a sudden.

I noticed that all th 3FE PS pumps are being sold quicker in the classified section...

I had a request for clarification of how I did the FJ80 hard lines.

The first picture below shows the driver side of the hard lines. I had to cut off the high pressure hose that was on it and have a fitting installed. I then attached the hose myself and ran it to the PS box (see previous pictures). I used my own low pressure hose because it is much farther to the box than on an FJ80.

The second picture shows the passenger side of the hard lines. I left these as they were. I attached my own low pressure hose as the one it had was too short.

I did have to bend the lines a bit on the driver side to make them sit flush against the frame. Also had to bend them out to miss the fan shroud. The third picture in IH8MUD.com Forum - View Single Post - FJ80 PS pump / "stock" PS shows the connections to the PS box. The silver 90 degree attachment is a -6AN fitting that hte hose shop put on for me (LOW PRESSURE). It is attached to a 17mm (I'm pretty sure) to -6AN adaptor. I also have the low pressure FJ80 fitting, and it would work too. I had already bought the adaptors so I used them. The other connection is the HIGH PRESSURE hose. That is a 90 degree -6AN high pressure fitting connected to a 16mm adaptor.

If I am wrong about the adaptors, IT DOES NOT MATTER. You need one of each so you can figure out which hole it fits in.
