Don't think the fan nuts were issues, i have replaced radiators on my rig about 5 - 6 times now. All i am saying is, be careful with a cracked fan shroud, it will eventually take out your radiator and fan and have you stranded. Ask me how i know,,

I wish i was smoking something decent when that happened silly man...
Just trying to give you my $.2....this happened to me twice and both time i was on the trial.....
Dude....stop being an ass on here...lol I have posted many many post on radiators for our 3FE and i have had CSF, Ron Davis, LIland, Napa unit, so i think i know a thing or two what i am talking about. Most of my Mech. engineers i deal with day in and day out are great, none as condescending as you though..I think i regret posting on here and wasting my time..good luck

I say you were smoking something on the trail. Have owned landcruisers since 1982. Both fj40 and my fj80 driven all over the country off road and never had an issue with fan shroud. But then I constantly inspect the machinery. Sure, all kinds of things can damage a radiator.
