Anyone interested in jumping on an order of custom printed 3 gauge A pillar pods built for the 60 series?
Vendor here "bhicks" says he needs atleast 20 orders to make it feasible. not sure what the price would be, but if i get enough people interested i think we can get a good estimate.
I hate my generic black ill fitting gauge cluster, i love the ergonomics of the gauges there. Id just like something thats design for the 60. And with three gauges.
 
i personally need a three gauge. i currently run a boost and EGT gauge, but i need a third gauge pod for AFR or possible a dual air temp.
im sure he could make both a two and a three pod. its just a matter of whether we hit the 20 units minimum needed to make them.
 
Depending on how expensive these get I am interested.

EDIT: 2 or 3 pod is fine.

I’d like to keep the grab handle and can do two or three pods. Two would suit my needs just fine.

So I am the person willing to make these but I should put out some info first. I only do new product development during my two slow seasons. That is March-May and Sept-Oct. The rest of the year is too busy to develop new products. That means I wont be able to even think about this project until this Spring. I also don't want to develop these if someone is already making them. The Landcruiser market is too small to have lots of competing vendors for little niche' products like this. I have released other products that were similar to things already being sold or products that came out after mine and it totally killed the product line for myself and the other vendor. I have learned this truth the hard way over the years. If someone is already making these PLEASE let us know and show us a link so we can all go check it out. If I'm not stepping on anyone's business then I will seriously look at this project this coming Spring.

Thanks for the pic and link. Looks like it's about $55. I could not get close to that price point 3D printing something that large. I would spend that much just in the 3D printing plastic. The amount of labor to remove and sand all the support and then acetone wash for final smoothness would get really pricey. Then there is the cost for me to paint and ship it out. I would be in the $150 range for a piece that large and since there is a $55 option already on the market, I don't see me selling any. I just can't compete at that price point.

db3, thanks for posting the 3 pod gauge. Ive been scouring the internet for a while and couldnt find a fj60 3 pod.
 
Honestly I would pay for $150 a high quality gauge pod that had good flow and match the vehicles interior lines instead of looking like a piece of plastic with the end chopped at the top. If it flowed well with the interior pillar shape and was color matched, I'd be in.
But thats just me, I dont think theres 20 guys who care enough for that difference to pay an extra $100 for one.
