My speedo cable broke it my 69 and I am not sure what will work. I can only seem to source the later ones. Any ideas if that one will work for me? Thanks guys.

Whether you have the original or not, take it out and inspect the exact type of connection at the speedo end. I know SOR has several types and they have pictures of each so you can compare. Also look at the length.

Looks like it is the same for the 40 and 55 series for the screw on type in that year model.

Carmon, let me know what you need, I may have one. Paul

i just got this same cable from local parts store Its a Doorman #03207 old number was 03468 i pain $13 bush out the door .

That number worked great. The cable is actually longer than stock, which is what I was mainly worried about.

One thing I noticed after install was that as it increases it jumps or shakes back and forth. It didn't used to do that. Any ideas on that one? I have checked for kinks but nothing.

install went fine but again it's kinda jumpy or actually its shaky... a little odd but maybe that will go away.

I had the same behavior on mine, Check inside the spedometer, some of the gears losse or sticky for all does years of work ...
I clean mine one, and works accurately ever since....
