I agree....its hard to imagine ....but....toyota does alot of different things outside our realm ....they may very well have had an fj47...but have yet to see a name plate thats says so...some that were said to be fj47 came back to be fj45's when the name plate was looked at...will be very interested to see the name plate on said truck...i will not be all too surprised thou...and yes it would be rare...toyota has been making a habit make things rare :rolleyes:

Yes, well, I'll happily eat my words and change my opinion when someone posts up a pic of a VIN tag or chassis serial number beginning with 'FJ47...'. That could be a long wait.

I asked Marv Specter about this 'FJ47' thing once, and he confirmed there was no such thing as an FJ47 as far as Toyota factory designations were concerned. I was wondering because I saw the odd reference to them in advertisements from Australia.

Let's see pics of those 'FJ47' VIN or chassis identification numbers -surely there is a person out there with one of these mythical trucks who wouldn't be shy about posting this, as it would clear up the issue right away.
 
Now, a BJ45, those exist as a factory model. Too bad they never came to N. America though! I don't think Australia got them either - in fact, I'm not sure too many 'B'-engined trucks of any model type went to the Australian market.

The BJ45's I have come across on the web have all been European-market rigs.
