FJ45 LV? What's it worth?

is this some cruiser joke? my bezel was "upside down" when i bought mine a couple months ago, and everyone in the local club let me know it. but what po would knowingly swap it. i feel like ive been the butt end of a joke and i dont want to find out the hard way lol.

Flippin' bezels!!!!! It's easy for one to become "upside down" if the owner pulls it and reinstalls it that way. The bolt pattern matches up either way. Why is it upside down? Originally Toyota the had the fat side up and on one model year embossed LAND CRUISER into it. Some owners with V8 conversions or winches will invert it to "allow more air flow". Some do not know any better, or care.

Upside down is upside down. Attend a Rising Sun event and see if the "Bezel Police" come around.

Nice looking FJ45LV. It is definitely a 65 or earlier, later model year would have the locking cover over the gas filler. The reflectors are non original add ons also.

Value? Much higher if intact and runs, if has not run in a long time but is all there, usually you can get it going pretty easy (barring major mechanical issues from when it was parked).

If you don't want it, I'm sure someone else on this list does!

first, i have no idea what it is worth.

second, it is "not all there".
wrong fender aprons
rear quarters are cut for marker lights
front seats are replacements
I can't see the 'rise' of the rear seat and cannot tell if it AND its hardware exists
fwiw, i can't see mud flap hangers
I think it is a 63/4 because of the pop up cowl vent

a better photo angle is from the rear corner so you can see more of the true 45 aspects than from the front which shows the common 40 series stuff.

only bonus is it has a PTO if that has any value.

I'd need many more interior and detail shots to tell how much is missing or altered and underbody to determine how bad corrosion is.

"Former" expert? Rick, you're still #1 in my FJ45LV Wagon expert book.......... I hope you are doing well.

Also, does it have the louver panel on the right side for the heater air intake? If not it usually is a '64.

Strange, it also has chrome headlight rings..................could be telling you it wants to be an FJ35 like Gene's Project Phoenix? Very interesting....

PTO winches can be dangerous, if you get it be careful. Toyota setup is more desirable, has more speeds for in and out.

Original engine?
Has it been converted to floor shift?

More pics would be great if you can get 'em.

BUY IT

If you really like the truck and have time to work on it then you first ask him if hes interested in selling it. If he says yes walk around it and go under it and take a look at the frame and tap with a hammer. Then take a look under floor, check it out. If the frame is ok and rust is not to bad I would start low with a offer, ask him if he will take $500,00 if not then ask him whats it worth, if he says I want $1000.00 then ask him to meet you half way.... $750.00

Thats my 2cents........It has to get off the grass and dirt or its going to be worth peanuts in a few years.

Wow, I didn't realize that anyone was still reading this post....probably not anymore, given the 4 month time lapse. I didn't end up getting the rig. Someone beat me to it. It was located in northeastern BC.
