Hey everybody

I have just installed a fj40 aisin carb on my truck. I am glad I did it runs super good now vs the weber I had. Anyway...

I am trying to setup my hand throttle and choke, but I can only find one attachment on the carb for an additional cable. I have a hand throttle and choke cable. Do 40's only have the hand throttle that acts like a choke? Thanks

Carmon

Most I've seen have the hand throttle connected to the pedal. Though I think a few early cruisers had provisions for a hand throttle at the carb. I'd say get one for the pedal and make the linkage.

All the Aussie ones that I imported had the hand throttle connected to the pedal

hand throttle

My Aussie 55 hand throttle works on the pedal and so do all the 62 series I have ever seen. I never saw a land cruiser hand throttle that connected to the carb- but of course that doesn't mean they never existed just that i have never seen one. Gary S

My old carb, the original, has the linkage for the hand throttle on the carb but this newer aisin doesn't. I think that newer one is 72. So it looks like I will have to figure out the cable to the pedal...
