View attachment 4190173Well it’s a blown head gasket! I’ll start there. Crazy. It may have been blown all this time. Although I’m glad I put a robust cooling system on for later abuse. While I’m in there, I may put some new heads on too. Get a little bit better flow. Once those are fixed, I will figure out if it needs additional cooling for something else. I’ll keep you updated. Thanks for all of your help.

So what test lead you to the blown head gasket?

The blue liquid tester. It turned yellow almost instantly. Proving it has exhaust gases in the antifreeze. It also could be a cracked head too I guess. Either way, the heads are coming off!

Appreciate it, I'd never heard of this test. I've always looked for milky oil as a sign water was getting into the oil. Either that or pulling the head(s) and being able to see the physical damage to the gasket.

This is only the second test I have ever done with this system. First nothing second gases in the antifreeze. Amazon of course.
