Hello guys,

It's been many years since I've been active on the boards, but I've been pretty active working on my Cruisers over the last few years. My FJ60 is finished except for front and rear bumpers, and I'd eventually like to put in a 5 speed. My wife would love to paint it, but right now I'm kinda liking the patina. The 2F is rebuilt with about 2,000 miles on it, and.everything is working right down to the A/C.

I've owned my 40 for 38 years now, but it was wasting away on the side of my old house for the last 10 years. About 18 months ago I pulled it out to start restoring it. This will be the third time. The plan was to sell it and use the cash to finish the LV. About half way through my wife said, "You know, I don't think I want to sell it anymore. I'm liking it too much now". So we decided to keep all three. I literally have about a months worth of work left to do on it and a custom full bikini top to have made, and it's finally done. Here are some pics of the work I've done over the last year and a half. The first pic was about 3 weeks into it, second pic about a week ago...

With the price of original Toyota LC wheels being way higher than the last time I checked them out, I decided to go with the early Chevy wheels at about 1/4 the price.

I bent some steel pipe to add a little more space and keep the cargo inside the bed when camping and added a fixed bow for the full bikini top.

I'll look it up and post the place and part number for you guys when I can. I just got out from surgery yesterday and can't get up right now. The Norco is NOT working.

If I remember correctly I bought the wheels from Summit Racing.

It has been a LONG time

Great to see you still at it ... hows the wagon ... last I knew it was going back together when a group came over to help with assembly ... get her done yet?

You just love green ... looking great

Do you have plans for the top yet? I am guessing you are going to go custom :)

Welcome back!!!

Hi Johnny and thanks for the welcome back.

Yes I do love the green and the top is going to be custom made. A bikini that comes down a little on the sides and about 10" in the back.

The LV hasn't changed since 2010. That year and the one to follow were without a doubt the worst years of my life. But now it's sitting safe in my garage where I've got the space and the funds to finish it. I will start work on it again in about a month when I finish the 40.

Glad to see you back, the 40 looks great, looking forward to seeing the 45 back on the road

Wow, nice, very nice. I love how you have added your own touch here and there.

X2 on the wheels, what width and backspace, and where?

What leaf springs?

The leaf springs I bought from Mark at Mark's Off Road so many years ago I couldn't even begin to tell you whose they are. They've served me well for a few decades of wheeling. I'm sure Mark will be able to tell you who made them.
