Here are a couple of my father's. I unfortunately don't have a huge amount of info as he passed away when I was young, but the first one I know was taken in 1975 and that this was his first vehicle. I don't know what year the second one was taken, or if that's even the same truck or not. I've been told he owned more than one FJ40 over the years, and that he put a Chevy engine in one of them. Maybe that's what he's up to in the second photo?
I'm currently looking to buy an FJ40 of my own, and have no doubt that my lifelong passion for these trucks was very much inspired by him.
