I'd like to buy a pair of fj40 kick panel speaker mounts. I see some are available from sor but thought id see if someone hasva set for sale.

I can make a custom set of these for you if interested. Let me know the speaker hole size and bolt pattern (if you know it) along with anything else you would like to spec. I will make them out of aluminized steel and pain any shade of black you like;). I can also powdercoat for an additional cost. Pm me if interested and I can get a quote to you based on your requests!

I am working on the design now. Hope to have a $ number and timing soon.

Please let me know if there are any features that you would like added (like speaker wire tie down points), materials used, and finishes desired.

NEW Custom Speaker holders go in kick vent area (does not affect kick vent operation) black satin powder coated. Speaker needs to be able to mount into a 4 1/2 in. hole $125

@Wadesters those look really nice, thanks for posting. I'm going to be painting mine the body color though and am looking for a bit more economical option, if possible.

Thanks. I know theyre available there just hoping to save a few bucks. Not to mention who knows what the shipping cost from sor would be. Thanks for the heads up though.

Awesome! Thanks for the info, helps knowing roughly what it would be!

I hate the idea of partly blocking the kick vents but this location seems, to me anyway, to be the cleanest/easiest location for mounting front speakers in a 40.
 
Sounds great @Bluegrass40 . I've been looking at 5.25 speakers and it looks like most require a mounting cutout of larger than 4.5 inches. I've seen 4 9/16, 4 5/8, 4 11/16, 4 3/4. Not sure how best to accommodate those varying diameters and associated speaker mounting holes. I suppose each buyer could drill their mounting holes where necessary?
