I'm in the market for another FJ40 1976 or newer. I want the project to start with my son in the next year. I don't mind a major project, but would prefer something that could be driven while chipping away at projects before dismantling for body work. I'm in S Florida but refuse to even look at anything out of Miami-Dade county. Looking for something in the Southern states of the country and willing to ship if further away. Budget is under $10k but could go higher depending on truck.
 
I have a 1975 FJ40 for sale. 70K original miles, 2F engine, 4 speed. Steering, suspension, and drivetrain are all incredibly tight and solid. All original except wheels & tires and I converted to electronic ignition. Good condition, runs, drives good. New brake master cylinder, new cluth master cylinder, new Pertronics electronic ignition, 5 brand new Firestone Destination A/T tires. I have the original wheels also.
 
Location, pics, price? How long have you owned it?
 
Thanks for all the messages guys. I'm out of the hunt now. I got a text from a buddy earlier this week. I sold him a '78 40 5 years ago and the people he sold it to wanted to sell it now. It was literally 2 miles from my house and they just wanted to get what they had in it back out. Needless to say it was a done deal before I even looked at it again.

I still can't believe you got it back. I kick myself every day for not buying that off you when I had the chance. Glad it's staying local.
