Here's one of our client's trucks getting some frame fixes - the pix tell the story.

I thought my frame was bad.

that makes me feel good about my frame and bad for the owner.

That frame looks awfully farmiliar... Keep the good work up there guys! It's pretty bad eh? It'll be nice to have it back with a little more than I gave it to you with....

I'm glad you guys posted some pics.. It's nice to see the work online.. It saves the drive up to Duncan!

The last pic shows a support plate added to the front mount bracket for the rear springs. If your truck doesn't have one of these on each bracket (later trucks, some time after '79, had them from the factory), put them on. It will probably save you a lot of grief down the road. I had them added to my '79 after one of the brackets developed a crack (sometime in the '80s), but I have seen pics here on mud where a whole chunk of the bottom of the frame has torn out.

ah, nice...cool to see you posting some of your work on mud. looks great of course!

Nice work, any more detailed pics of the rear attachment areas? I am afraid I will be doing a lot of the same work here in the near future.

As a sidenote (not intending to derail this thread), where was it that I saw the replacement outriggers for the springs, anyone know?

I know this is an old thread but I have some frame repair coming up and was wondering is in reframe channel seen in the second picture of the second post a custom piece or does someone well them? reinforcing my rear corners behind the rear spring hanger looks like a great idea! I don't see them for sale anywhere when I search.

looks like a custom piece and maybe they were available back then ... shouldn't be a big job (or price) having them made up from c channel ... when I was reading through JDCruiser's build thread, he noted he bought frame pieces from Landcruiserparts on Ebay ...

eBay or AwlTEQ would be your best bet for those frame sections.

Mine was only a little better when I swapped in a new frame back around 1994.

Some have had them made locally or made them from box steel.
