I have two sets of 40 disk axles available. Located in Rockford, MN.
First set is off of a '76, untouched as they came off the part rig. $800
I will get pics soon once snow melts.
Second set I built for my 40, but am going another direction and using different axles. I built them using '69 housings, and an FJ60 donor front axle for the knuckles/etc. Everything is completely rebuilt using 80 series 4.10 R&Ps. Has spindle studs, backing plate eliminator, solid pinion spacers, all new bolts and studs, double drilled flanges, and all fine splined. NO LOCKING HUBS. Currently has Aussie lockers front and rear, I'd be willing to keep one or both lockers and give you the spider gears. I have an FJ60 power steering box I may not need and could throw in as well. Axles have trusses welded on, front has been modified for the U-bolts to work with the truss, if you don't like it the truss can be trimmed back or cut off. Have over $2600 invested in parts. Asking $2400 with lockers, $2000 without lockers. I was going to use a set of Superior Engineering high clearance U-bolt plates with these axles ($640 shipped from Australia), will include for another $350. One plate is trimmed for diff housing clearance, I would reinforce before putting into use.
