Some interior shots- you can see the some of the details that this guy added- all top notch. These viking T-bar seats- if you don't know them- are hydraulic suspension seats. I have to keep the seat belt a little tight so I don't shoot up and dent the roof with my noggin. Glen was into labels.... Tire pressure, fluid capacities and other stuff is all labeled inside the glove box door as well.

Documentation is there from day one- except when I had the clutch replaced.

Stahl tool boxes full of spares.
I just need to find an alaskan camper to go back in the bed as he had it and my traveling truck will be complete again. I live in japan and every time we get back to the U.S. I fire this thing up and hit the road. I should sell it- but I just haven't been able to do that.

That's a nice looking old Dodge...great story and rescue!

I would not sell it...you know you'll regret it before it even leaves your yard. If you can keep it safely where it is, and take good measures to protect and lube it when you are in town, you'll be able to enjoy it when the time comes.

Land Cruisers 60th Anniversary

I see in New Zealand Toyota is celebrating the Land Cruiser's 60th anniversary. Looks like you get five years full service and

"Plus all Land Cruisers sold in 2011 come with a limited edition 60th Anniversary Leatherman® tool."


And to think back in the sixties these are the only tools that came standard in the Land Cruiser

Installed my new headlight switch. Two of the terminals were located in different locations on the back and the switch operates slightly different as well but it works great! My brake light switch isnt working now though. I have a newer switch but the threads are different so I ordered an adapter from McMaster Carr that I think will work. Its the one listed for the oil pressure switch in the part number thread. I also adjusted the brakes and figured out what the holes in an FJ25 rim are for... adjusting the brakes (access to the little metal tab on the drum) without taking the rim off!! Duh. Too bad all of my rims weren't in the right place so I had to pull em off anyway.

Anyway, woke up the other day and noticed a couple years had passed, so I bought a long term star so I wouldn't ever forget again 'till 2017 All is well in life, all the 25s, 40s, and Patrols remain eyesores. "Phil is slow, but the projects are patient"

The red 25 and Patrol compete for time, fuel systems being the common problem. I blame ethanol for the rash of fuel pump failures, gas tank leaks, and carb rehabs, couldn't be their lack of use!

I'll be around, FWIW.
