Been tied up the past week and made a little progress today. I got the floor pan cut and welded back up, the twin sticks bent and fit correctly, and started on the exhaust.

Got some exhaust work started today. Ordered the muffler and should be here towards the end of the week. Was going to attempt to go under the oil pan with the passenger side but there wasn't enough room to have any flex without crushing the pipe and or the oil pan with the front diff.

Hahaha yea, patience is key! I know now why exhaust shops charge what they do.....

Yeah no doubt.. for one odd bend I decided to use one of the steel exhaust repair accordion tube things instead of trying to scallop/lobster together pieces to make the bends I needed. Has worked out great, was able to weld it to the final section and has NO LEAKS! I know I am sure that it will rot out in a few years but if it lasts that long I will be happy. Less than $200 for me in parts, about 8hrs total of work and, more importantly, it was LOADS of fun because I got to weld thick-than-body-panel steel!!

Got the exhaust mocked up This weekend, hung the Magnaflow muffler, and did some plumbing. Also just before I decided to pull the trigger on the swap, my brake booster went out. I decided to upgrade the booster/MC with a 93 4Runner booster and a 1" T-100 Master Cylinder. Had to mount the booster upside down due to the bolt alignment. All the reading I have done, I can't find anywhere that says the booster has to be positioned a certain way, please chime in if I'm mistaken.

I also decided to do the hood strut upgrade, so I mounted the ball studs and modified the hood side brackets.

Got the fuel supply and return line done, I was going to use the factory evap line on the firewall for a return, but the bends on the pass side didn't work out. I got some 3/8" line and bent a new one.

Got the motor back in today for the last time. Painted crossmember, hooked up fuel lines, building power steering line. Will start on connecting the wiring harness/ecm to the Gussman fuse box I bought to run the LS ecm/fuel pump and possible electric fans.

More, got the Toyota factory oil pressure sender installed. Got the mid pipe wrapped that goes beside the frame and fuel lines and around the back of the transfer case. No room for heat shield so hopefully this will work well.

Here are a few photos of when I set the harness up for a stand alone. Took about 8-10 hours to go through the harness wire by wire. Shout out to the LT1swap.com website for the pinout sheets and food step by step photos.

I moved the up fuse box back towards the firewall to make room for a second battery down the road.in an earlier photo it was bolted close to the front of the engine bay on the side of the fender. Should be ample room for the good struts to clear the box. A bad shot of the ecm mounting but I'll get some better photos later today.

What headers/manifolds are you using? I'm working on my own LS/NV4500 swap and am a few steps behind you. I bought Hooker LS exhaust manifolds and the driver's side hits the AA bracket for the slave cylinder.

I used corvette manifolds - C-6 IIRC. I had to trim be AA motor mount a bit to get the collector flange to clear on the passenger side and I trimmed a bit for one of the tubes to clear the other. There was a lot of metal left so a minor trim was no issue. I paid $100 for the pair from a local hot rod shop that does a lot of corvette work. They are waaayyy overpriced on eBay. PM me and I can see about getting you a set if you're interested.

I made some good progress tonight. Got the shifter plate installed (ordered a new front carpet kit from reevesci which should be here at the end of the month to fix the bare floor issue by the shifter. Also got the "under the hood" LS wiring finished up. Moved to the interior and got the ODB port mounted and wired up. I removed the choke cable and wired the check engine light into the choke light so no new holes in the dash! Got the starter wired up and one of he exhaust mid pipes installed. All of the wiring to make the motor run is completed. I still need to properly cover and secure the water temp and oil pressure sensor wires in the engine bay and that should be it for primary wiring. Still working and reading up about making the factory A/C system work with the Tach output signal from the LS PCM.

Truck is looking really good. Please don't tell me that you are going to leave that spray foam or whatever it is covering the hole where you pulled the wires through!!
