Most folks understand the business model...my guess is "needle poking" isn't a self-employed process :-)

(so, next time I get stung by a wasp and need an ER run, you'll cut my $1200 bill down with free shots...sweet!). LOL

Woody,

I didn't mean to open a can of worms. I do realize that's how you make your money, just needed a reminder. I can put up with the ads, if it means I can still go to MUD and learn some things. There's not many sites I really like or even go to and MUD is on the top.

Thanks again,

Ron

I will mention this little issue. While fooling with Mud I was shopping for a new tractor. The ads that I am now seeing are all about tractors. I understand that this endeavor requires a profit model and Santa is dead. That is why I support you with a paid membership. I block tracking on my systems and I do not know how tracking is working but I generally do not permit tracking for a number of excellent security reasons.
I am sure that once the smoke clears away these ads and tracking will not continue. Ad blocker is a Sophies choice. It creates a number of its own issues. Hang in there. By the way, don't forget to transfer my w--tb--k filter. :)

BTW...last handful of posts were on my Android phone and 4G on a Chrome mobile browser... And yes swype works!

This is great! However, almost 9 years later, this new view will take me some time to get used to.

Well my life is now complete :D

Is there an option to go wide-screen? I like to use more than 50% of my monitor. I'm crazy like that.

Once you go wide-screen, you never go mobile.

bah humbug:mad:
i finally get used to the old site and some young buck comes along and changes everything.
why can't you kids just leave us old guys alone?:hillbilly:
<looks good woody ;)>

Fear not, the flipper section will soon be up and running!

whats this tophy thing and how do you access it,its all fxxxed up now,i dont know whats going on with mud now, maybe its an aussie thing but it was good before

it was nice before
but
there were issues that Woody wanted to fix.
i am having difficulty getting used to this new site ... i doubt i am the only one.

It is important to separate doesn't work from learning curve. Six months from now I doubt that anyone will remember the initial process and the site will be seamless and better.
On a personal note, I realized that I had been paying very little attention to what was going on. I had no idea this was going to happen. Talk about head up the ass. I even noted that this was discussed on Facebook. Doh! Not following on Facebook. Not really a big fan of Facebook. Not looking for new friends and or creepy tracking so I keep that site locked down pretty tightly. I have been through software upgrades/changes in my work that made this look like a walk in the park on a sunny day. Learn before critique and comments will be much more useful. Hell, I might even give in on Facebook but probably not. But as WTF moments go, the best one so far this year was the notice "Your Silver Star Membership is cancelled." :)

I dont want FB, Tweet, RSS, G+, I don't want to like, blah, blah, blah.

No sh*t.

Once you're in a specific thread it's ok, but the forum pages suck; awful lot of wasted space on the right side of the screen.

Also, it's pointless, annoying, and distracting to have the thread starter's avi show up on the forum page.

I also got an email from PayPal saying that my Silverstar was cancelled.

@BMThiker - Covered in the NEW FORUM q/a section at the top...unexpected issue due to the software change.

@CJF - Thanks for your patience. It will take time to get adjustments made, and I'm a one man show. I'm sure a big corporate owner would have done better.

I'm making constant adjustments. However, like tuning a motor, if you make them ALL AT ONCE, you simply break it, or waste money/effort. The previous software was adjusted monthly to address speed/issues and this will be handled the same long term, and a few times a week in the short term. Rushing changes only creates more issues.

BTW: the ideas planning for this software update started in the fall of 2010, with a lot of effort made since December 2013. I'll guess another 4-5 weeks before everything is fully settled.

This is not the first time the software for this forum has changed. This change went FAR smoother than the last.

they are happening fast...I'm making adjustments frequently :)
