It isn't going to be that low. What you see in the pics is up past bottomed out by an inch or two. Should ride 5-7 inches above the pics. Bottom of tranny pan is dead even with the bottom of the frame. Going to run CV on the rear so the angleswon't be too bad. Floor pan should only have to come up an inch or so, seats should be no problem.

Been there done that. Unless you buy one of those highangle drivelines with that badass CV in it you can't get but 30 to 32 degrees and you won't have that much drop in the center. Just put an ATV winch in the center to control the drop in the center of the axle and you should be OK.

Or just a simple limiting strap in the center - does the same thing but won't give you the option to "suck down" the suspension.

:bounce:Got the body on. Going to have to raise a small section of the floor 1". It took a 1 1/4" body lift to get some good clearance for the tranny. Fit but was really tight.

Hey man, I don't know what you've heard, but I don't roll that way!

Biotch!

Yea gonna have an exo to save that ultra rare 1986 4Runner sheetmetal (actually, its for the girls safety)

Got some more progress pics. Last week we got the motor, trans and t-case temporarily setup in the frame and we placed the body on the frame to see how it fit. After checking it out we decided to move the rear axle forward 2”, clock the t-case down about 5 degrees and decided to lower the motor about 1 “.

decided to stiffen the front portion of the frame by adding some plate to the inside and fish plating a section on the out side of it. got all the tabs welded on for the motor and skid plate mounts.

Side view. It is exactly 2" below the frame to the bottom of the skidplate.

Going to have to come up with some type of skid plate for the tranny sometime later. The guy doing all of the work is doing excellent. He is an anal s.o.b. I went to Jr High and elementary school with him so he knows I'm a no welding ass who can only sweep floors.

Looks awesome!

I like those mounts and skid plate, looks like that feller knows what he's doing.

You get my voicemail back the other day?

Got the Hummers recentered, tires mounted up, rear links done and the body back on to start the trimming.
