Yes you can install the pulley before dropping the pump in the bracket. But the adapter bracket has to be bolted onto the pump before pulley installation.

Thanks for the help Georg. If you notice how far out the pulley is on the shaft, if I would have pressed it all the way on it wouldn't have lined up with crank pulley and alternator . The pulley is about 3/4 of the way pressed on and I am going to add a bolt, and washer .. hope that works.

Press the pulley on until it's flush with the front of the pump shaft. It'll work perfect.

You can run either fluid. I use PS fluid since that's what Toyota used.

Same as the OEM setup; the alternator brackets allow for belt tensioning.
