Was wondering the same thing?? What is the reason for that?

Yes, i am pretty sure they are FJ62 springs, at least i was told they were. Reason i did that is cause i posted that i was looking for a set of stock springs since my were all trashed and hacked together with an add a leaf and someone offered me a set of what they said where FJ62 stockers (8in the rear and 5 in the front) so i took them and installed them as is! The rear sits perfect!!! But the front is way low and i gotta do something with that for sure!


VTCruiser, no i have not put the add a leafs in the rear, that is how it sits with the stock 8 leaf rear!

Sorry, I don't have access to a digi-cam until tomorrow. Plus it's cold, dark, and snowy outside right now.

I picked up some 62 springs. Pulled all the shorties out of each pack to end up with the 4 longest for the fronts and the 5 longest for the rears. Then added the long leaf to each in the position of third longest (can't really separate the two longest anyway). I beleive that before I killed them by running without shocks, they were working quite well. I had to cut a bit off both ends of the add-a-leafs for the front and cut a bit off one end of each of the add-a-leafs for the rears (the rears spring pins aren't center...)

Anyway, here's a bunch of pics I found that I took. Sorry, some of 'em aren't too good of pics. I was borrowing a camera and didn't know how to use it very well at the time.

I like the ride quite well personally. Though a couple local guys that are runnin' SOA swear everyone should screw stock springs and go straight to custom Alcans... But that's a bit more $$...

Alcans are about $200 per leaf pack. http://www.alcanspring.com/. Just give 'em a call for more info. They're very familiar with Cruisers. If you do get them from 'em, I have heard they make a cool anti-wrap leaf that they can add to the rear leaf packs.

Well, up until this weekend, it drove so F-ing s***ty that i never drove it! You might be seeing it someday, if ya wanna meet up and go wheeling or something, but i probably wont go pimping it in PB or Lajolla at any surf spots! Thats all i need is to get arrested for slicing some crackheads throat open for messing with my junk after putting all this hard work into it! No thanks! What kinda rig you got? I dont recall seeing any cruiser around the surf spots!

'86 60 right now with Rhode island plates on it and rusty as hell... that should make it stand out I am from san diego though
